4 classes, unlimited opportunities

By it’s very nature, off road racing is custom. Our classes are built to fit you and your vehicle, not the other way around.

Unsure which you should enter? Use our helpful class calculator further down the page.

All vehicles & personal protective equipment must comply with ‘Nora Motorsport 4×4 Regulations’ and the and ‘DIRT Technical Spec Sheet’, which can be downloaded to the right.

Class 1

The benchmark for extreme off-road engineering. These machines are purpose-built to tackle the hardest terrain at speed, with no compromises. Tubular chassis, massive tyres, high-displacement engines, advanced suspension, and steering systems work together to keep them fast, stable, and unrelenting over obstacles that stop everything else.

Points system:

  • Engine 4.8L and above – 2 points

  • Tyres over 37” – 1 point

  • Hydraulic steering – 3 points

  • Bypass shocks (including IBP) – 2 points

Rules:

  • 5 points and over

  • Minimum tyre size: 37″

  • Tubular chassis required

Class 2

Lean, fierce, and always hungry. These mainly tubular chassis machines may have fewer points on paper, but they bring razor-sharp agility and enough bite to take on terrain that eats lesser vehicles alive. In the right hands, they’re giant-killers.

Points system:

  • Engine 4.8L and above – 2 points

  • Tyres over 37” – 1 point

  • Hydraulic steering – 3 points

  • Bypass shocks (including IBP) – 2 points

Rules:

  • Up to 4 points

  • Majority tubular chassis required

super mod

Super-Mods keep an OEM-style ladder chassis at their core, but almost everything bolted to it is fair game. Many are evolved from battle-tested winch challenge trucks, ex-competitive safari rigs, or custom one-off builds designed to crawl, climb, and muscle through almost the same brutal terrain as the top classes.

  • Must have 75%+ remaining of the OEM-style ladder chassis (shock mount to shock mount)

  • 4×4 drivetrain required

  • Unlimited modifications and upgrades permitted

Please Note: Stock-Mod class vehicles from 2025 and previous move into this class from 2026.

sxs / utv

Small, savage, and stupidly fun. These pocket rockets dance over rocks and rip through mud like nothing else. Built for pure chaos with unlimited mods, and if you throw on a set of 37s, they can even crash the Class 1 party.

  • Models include Polaris RZR, Can-Am Maverick, Honda Talon, Yamaha YXZ

  • Must be 4×4

  • Unlimited modifications permitted

  • UTVs wishing to compete in Class 1 must run a minimum 37” tyre
